This a very, very, good Marquette squad. No shame in losing this one even at home. They're legit.

We were right there. Too much Tyler fucking Kolek and too many low IQ plays and wasted possessions by us down the stretch.

Some of our more inexperienced guys straight up pissed down their legs the last 5 minutes. That said it was all still there for us with wide open threes (and a layup) that didn’t go down near the end. Some good things on defense for sure and the team fought the entire game. Marquette looks like a team that was good last year and brought everyone back. Tough to beat a team like that when making the kind of mistakes we made down the stretch. I felt like we were playing with house money in this one as long as we didn’t get ran out of the gym.

I saw guys stepping on the line, throwing the ball into the stands, passing up open shots, and bricked open 3s. Looked a lot like what I saw last year.

Marquette played like shit and still led start to finish minus a minute or 2.   We play dumbass low iq basketetball.  Cant shoot 3s for shit.  Have shit interior defense and no half court offense whatsoever.  Just dribble dribble jack up a 3.  And we have no point guard what so ever.  Without domask we lose by 30 tonight.  Gonna be a long year.

We have issues. No PG to run an offense in half court and get us into good positions, and Hawkins is in a bad place on both sides of ball.
We have really inconsistent bench right now.
15 TOs and shot 35%.

This should be a good defensive team, but they're lacking on offense and coaching.

Dainja doesn't look playable vs good teams.

The 2 freshmen did very little tonight but hopefully they can both be contributors, especially DGL. They need another playmaker besides Shannon.

Hawkins was a pretty big disappointment tonight.

The bad part about having Rodgers at PG is if the defend sags off of him, he’s no threat whatsoever to shoot a 3. That limits our ball movement and penetration and kick outs for 3’s.

Who was it we had that they did that to and dared them to shoot?! Wasn’t it a player during the Groce years?
