Yes, he would definitely be in the discussion. As would Nunn, Winters, Paul, Harper, Gill, Anderson, maybe Battle, Liberty, Hamilton, Notree, DWill (as a pro), Luther to name a few.
Most of those guys saw NBA time and some had stellar careers which for better or worse is a key indicator of very high level athleticism.
Shannon makes the list of those considered. I think he maybe catches on a roster somewhere.

I think the thing on Loyalty about him is we have not had a lot of really high level athletes in recent years. Ayo is very fast with the ball in open court and good athlete, but not really super athletic.
Frankie was smooth as hell and amazing , but not an elite athlete.

I loved me some Bryant Notree growing up! That’s a name I hadn’t heard in a while.
Because FOX News told me so…

Spoon is another one.

Rich Jones before the slush fund and his knee injury.

Snake was not a great leaper or super fast, but was agile and strong as an ox.

I thought about the Snake. He always seemed like a grown man out there.

Good call on Spoon.

Ok, another name to put out there.
Dee Brown tried to fuck a recruit's Mom.
These are just the stories that are public but let's not forget Darius Paul running from the police high on mdma and Leron Black pulling a knife on a bouncer. Athletics is something also a matter of flair and degree of difficulty.

If I had to pick a starting 5 for athletic ability Luther would be my 2-guard but Shannon is on the bench.

Good call on Spoon.

His teammate Nick Conner was a stud athlete, but not much of an offensive basketball player.

How about Mike Price?  Dude could sky.  IIRC, he led the BIG in rebounding as a guard.

Darius Paul getting chased down by a female security guard is one of the funniest things ever

Maybe the female security guard identifies as Usain Bolt

Yes, Price was athletic.
Also, Don Freeman. 27 pts and almost 12 boards per game in 1966 at 6-3. He was fun to watch.
Loved Spoon.

I remember the Illini playing UCLA pretty tough in 1970s with Walton and Wilkes and John Wooden had said some complimentary words post game about Connor. Kinda tough for a 6-6 center to go up against Walton but he held his own.

Not sure he’d be top 5 on the ‘89 team…
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

He’s really explosive and strong. But it kinda seems more like the kind of ability that’s been earned from hard work in the gym than pure natural athleticism. If that makes any sense.
