WTF is Getsy’s fascination with shotgun on 4th and 1. What a putz.

Last year’s team wasn’t good, but they gave effort and they played disciplined football. I remember players were saying practices were “too hard.” That’s why i was optimistic about Flus. Haven’t heard or seen any of that this year.

Utterly mind-boggling he’d call that again 4 weeks later. Dude thinks he’s Andy Reid. I’d rather have the guy who’s used to taking snaps taking snaps. Plus, the entire defense knows what’s coming when they do it. Of the dumbest plays I’ve ever seen. Do what Phlly does. JFC football doesn’t have to be rocket science.

With a few exceptions, I thought the rhythm of the play-calling was better today. Much better. They were going downfield a lot more. Not throwing screens every other down. Hated the TE sneak (which worked), and really hated shotgun on 4th and 1. Got a little run heavy when the game got close.

I love that PAMan was quieter than a church mouse the entire game, then came crawling out of the woodwork like a cockroach the minute things went awry. And then of course blames only the quarterback, not the coaches or defense.

IMO kicking the FG or going for it are both very defendable. The problem was the play-call. 4th down and half yard and they line up shotgun. I think it was Tiki Barber said no one in the building thought the ball was going anywhere but to Herbert.

How in the fuck have they not taken a page out of the Eagles handbook and use their shove the QB over the line play? Or at least get Justin up to the line of scrimmage and the defense has to guess the play. Maybe they jump. No reason to jump when the RB is getting the ball 3 yards deep in the backfield with no forward momentum. That call was even worse than the QB sneak from shotgun last year. Getsy is a moron.
