« on: March 06, 2022, 09:41:17 PM »Unfortunately, I have to largely agree with this. Was hoping Curbelo would be playing at a high level by now, but he’s not done much to suggest he will be the best guard on the floor 5-6 games in a row during the tourney.
I’ve become more and more convinced we’ll go as far as Plummer’s shooting can take us.
The last few sequences should’ve never happened…
2:30 to go and Curbelo runs 10 seconds off the clock up 5, drives to the lane and commits an offensive foul…
45 seconds later still up 5 and Iowa spreads the floor, so only one side of the floor has Curbelo going one on one with an Iowa big…Easy and 1…
Have to have better game management…Never should’ve come down to the last sequence…

It’s hard not to as we do a lot of dumb things…
The last few minutes of that game was a train wreck and comedy of errors on both ends…
What you saw as an exciting finish, I saw as like a suck out in poker…We got lucky…
Bottom line…We have a hard time finishing games period and the scouting is pretty clear…Key in on Kofi and let ‘em chuck 3s and unless we’re on like the Michigan game we lose most of the time…
