Normally I’d be with you here; but you didn’t watch the game. They weren’t winning that game because the defense couldn’t hold them for shit. And throwing every down against that defense would have put Fields at risk. Don’t penalize Fields because they didn’t throw 30+ times.

There are reasons they did not do it. A. the line. B. they don't trust him.
In all seriousness, at the end of the day, what difference does it make this year if they win that game? None. They are not going anywhere. They should have him throwing 50 times a game every game so he can learn.

Gotta hand it to Getsy, he’s shown growth and an ability to adapt that I wasn’t sure was there. The last 5 weeks is a far cry from GB week 2. He deserves no small amount of credit for the boom the offense has had.
Believe it or not, I challenged Danny Parkins on his “Getsy is a future head coach” takes a month ago, but Getsy will be a head coach before long if this keeps up. But Getsy also owes a lot to Fields.

To put 300 yards into perspective, Joe Burrow led the league last year at 8.9 yards per pass attempt. To throw for 300 yards, Fields would need to average about 15 per pass attempt.
And EntitledMan blames the fact the Bears won’t pass entirely on Fields, even though everyone (but maybe him?) understands the line can’t pass block and the receivers are bad…

Don’t look now, but Josh Allen has been pretty trashy lately. Not to say Allen isn’t exceptional, but all quarterbacks miss plays/make mistakes. Fields still barely has 20 starts under his belt. And he’s made pretty significant strides the past few weeks. Yes, there’s a ways to go.

The Bears are a large market professional organization, I feel like we should expect more from them being one of the most iconic franchises in all of sports.
And on top of that, you spend way more time talking about the Bears than I talk about anything cumulatively.

So I looked it up. The Bears gave up 329 total yards. 237 passing and 92 rushing. Gave up 15 first downs. Bears had 22 believe it or not. Very respectable numbers.
Where they sucked was no consistent pass rush, were atrocious on 3rd down, and created no turnovers. Clean up 3rd downs, get a turnover, and get a little more heat on the QB and they’d be doing great.
