That's it. That's the post for now.
-
I think the Texans are quite a bit better than the Titans.
-
Yeah, that effort doesn’t figure to get it done next week.
-
Oh yeah that's on SNF.
Anyway, a 150 yard zero TD offensive effort damn sure isn't gonna cut it next week. CJ Stroud is lightyears better than Will Levis and won't be handing out gifts like Levis did today.
-
Where the fuck is Tempo? Odunze has a knee? ACL?

Getting MRI today. Play late in 4th quarter Velus Jones Jr. and defender rolled into him from behind it sounds like. Fuck Velus, cut his ass today!

Both Houston and Indy will dogwalk the Bears. Carolina likely the only team worse than Tennessee.

Report is he’s week-to-week with a MCL sprain.

Heard that as well. Big sigh of relief on that one!
-
Go Bears!

If Indy dogwalks the Bear, Eberlose should be immediately fired.

Yeah, Anthony Richardson is Fields 2.0 😂
-
Allen out, Odunze in.
-
Velus Jones, Jr. is inactive. Thank you Jesus!
-
Velus Jones, Tyler Scott....no, didn't need to pick linemen with those draft picks. Not at all.
-
On the bright side, Eberlose's 2d half defensive adjustments have been good. Now if he could just get the defense ready for the 1st half of each game....
-
Wasn’t a fan of either of those picks.
-
Holding Houston to one TD and four very long ass FGs isn’t a bad defensive outing.
-

But you do love signing WRs before having an OL in place

If you ask Poles he’d say the line was in place. They’re underachieving. And yes, I’ll take a guy who’d be the #1 receiver off the board many drafts over the 2nd or 3rd offensive lineman. Worked pretty good for Cincinnati. They ignored their obvious line need (and had first choice, unlike the Bears). No one in Cincinnati regrets that choice.
-
Let’s just hope last night was an anomaly and not the norm. I wanna see a few more games.

Let me know when the Bear have Joe Burrows playing QB.
-
The Dolphins also took Jaylen Waddle over Penei Sewell. They started a 2nd round rookie who got moved to guard. Don’t think they are complaining much. WRs are as important as any position after QB in today’s game.

You HAVE to take Sewell to PROTECT Burrow!
-
I know it’s a typo, but Joe Burrows is funny.

It’ll get better. Partly because it can’t get much worse. But it’ll get better. Again, you can’t rebuild an entire team with all elite units overnight, or even in a couple years. This is a 5 year plan. This is the first roster that even resembles what Poles has in mind.
-

Again, let me know when Joe Burrows is the Bear QB. Until the time you have that unicorn, you build around your lines. Unless you are playing Fantasy Football like the Twotter guys and Poles.

Yeah, one where there is no OL because he thinks it is fantasy football.

And how is the Dolphin's QB's Brain faring? Also, what is the Dolphin record against playoff teams?

Obviously it is complete shit like this which passes as intelligent analysis on The Twotter.

The argument at the time is you have to take Sewell to protect the unicorn. You can’t have it both ways. Although I know you like having it both ways. Fields makes the line look bad! Draft over everyone!

It’s football. They can’t stop Tua from getting hit in the head or diving headfirst instead of sliding.

Failed to answer the second question ....
-
Also Tempo, please let me know when your guy Eberlose makes a good challenge. That is being lost in your claim that Fields would have played better than Williams last night.
-
This chick is far smarter about football than Tempo and all his Twotter FFF losers.

Last night’s #Bears OL performance was HORRIFIC.
Here’s some food for thought.
1️⃣ Texans pressured Caleb on 38 of 39 pass attempts. Got 7 sacks. 2 INTs
2️⃣ Caleb averaged 2.59s TTT last night, 6th fastest in NFL (through SNF).
🔸 He was NOT causing the pressure problem last night.
🔸 That IS different than Fields, who caused it about 1/2 the time.
WHAT’S CRAZY
3️⃣ In 2023, #Bears OL averaged 2.85s time to pressure. 3rd LONGEST in NFL. THIRD. 🤯
🔸 Yes, in 2023, they gave up pressure more than any OL — 50%. But that was *much* more a Fields problem as he had longest average TTT
🔸 If OL had given Caleb THAT average time to pressure last night with his TTT, it would have been under 25%
WHAT’S DIFFERENT?
4️⃣ Shelton, OC & Brand New Offense in Y1 W2
WHAT’S NOT?
5️⃣ 4 Starters. Same OL coach. Same HC.
WHAT THIS MEANS
➡️ Not trying to explain away last night. It was an inexcusable dumpster fire.
➡️ So was the KC game in W3 last year. That was in Y2 W3 of an offense.
➡️ Y1 W1 & W2 of this offense were against two of the toughest DLs we will face this season. Fingers crossed it won’t be as bad again this year.
➡️ But I say that with zero confidence.
➡️ I remain HIGHLY annoyed that Poles didn’t invest in C position THIS year to grow with Caleb.
🔸 I pounded the table for him to pull forward the extra 2025 2nd to draft C Zach Frazier. (Who in two starts in PIT has looked VERY solid). That was the right answer IMO.
🔸 Now Caleb has to suffer for a year with a C inadequate at pass pro (who LAR wouldn’t even let pass pro for Stafford another year), who won’t even be here next year & Caleb will have to go through new C growing pains all over in Y2.
🔸 Of all the bad moves Poles has/hasn’t made, *THIS* one is the worst IMO. (Whether he drafted Frazier, signed Pocic who wasn’t expensive at all, or even taken a flyer on Connor Williams even with injury. Anything is better than Shelton)
🔸 Great you got Caleb weapons, Poles. If he’s not on the ground or running for his life to use them. Or can survive this beating weekly. I’d rather not find out
➡️ #Bears OL should be better than this. Even with Shelton. Even with HC & OL Coach.
🔸 Not just on paper as analysts said. Based on last season.
🔸 I don’t know how much of their bad performance is the new offense. Logical me says it’s got to be a pretty big part based on what was outlined. Fearful & downcast #Bears fan me is skeptical.
➡️ What’s also scary is how bad they are at Run Blocking. Say what you want about Getsy, but run blocking was never this big a challenge. They weren’t great last year, but it was better.
➡️ Also USE HERBERT for the 49th time, Shane. He’s a lot better running behind a crap OL than Swift. Who got his 1000 yds behind a Top 5 OL in PHI. Herbert runs N/S with 50% of carries over expectation. You know, the guy who converted the 4th & 1 and got you the only TD on his 2 whole carries last night. Not the guy who majors in running sideways & gets you 18 yards on 14 carries. 🙄
‼️ Fix it Flus, Waldron & CMo. Fix it OL. Do what you have to Poles. Trade for someone better at C. Now.
‼️ Do not subject Caleb to 55 sacks this season. That would be a tremendous waste of his talent & hinder his development.
➡️ We’ve seen this movie before. And we didn’t like the ending. 🤬

I don’t have any major beefs with anything she said. I actually follow her on Twitter.
Black Ditka also called her out and she admitted to thinking the line would be better, so there’s that. But I agree, I would have liked to have seen the Bears draft a Center. I’m not sure what “pulling forward” a 2025 draft pick means, though? Trading it, I guess? Still have to find someone willing to give you value on it. Seeing as how Shelton was a two-year starter for McVay I had higher expectations. Waldron and OL coach are sucking at their jobs currently.

Unsure how you can actually believe Fields would have done better with less time to throw than he had last year, on average.
