On the bright side,  Eberlose's 2d half defensive adjustments have been good.  Now if he could just get the defense ready for the 1st half of each game....

If you ask Poles he’d say the line was in place. They’re underachieving. And yes, I’ll take a guy who’d be the #1 receiver off the board many drafts over the 2nd or 3rd offensive lineman. Worked pretty good for Cincinnati. They ignored their obvious line need (and had first choice, unlike the Bears). No one in Cincinnati regrets that choice.

The Dolphins also took Jaylen Waddle over Penei Sewell. They started a 2nd round rookie who got moved to guard. Don’t think they are complaining much. WRs are as important as any position after QB in today’s game.

It’ll get better. Partly because it can’t get much worse. But it’ll get better. Again, you can’t rebuild an entire team with all elite units overnight, or even in a couple years. This is a 5 year plan. This is the first roster that even resembles what Poles has in mind.
