What was the point of Jamie Gertz character? They make Bill look bad by ditching her for Jo and basically it was from the get go,but you don't feel sorrow for Melissa because there's no insight or development to her character!

And Bill leaves Jo before this but somehow in the 3 days they are together he sees she has changed ?
