In fact, I’m more confident in my ability to read a scouting report than I am in my ability to scout players…
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

I don’t remember being “upset” with the Bear draft. I only questioned the return for the 10th pick. And I also questioned the Roschon Johnson pick, but it’s a 4th rounder so not a big deal. Plus after reading the reviews on Johnson I felt better about it after the fact.

I am violating my own instructions here, but you were initially upset that they did not get "difference makers," including the RB you wanted. You were walked off the ledge by reminders of their needs on both lines, well, basically everywhere. You seemed to suffer akin to post-partum depression. The draft was your baby. It occurred. And then you were a little adrift. You did get over it.

That doesn’t mean I keep up on JJ McCarthy tweets.

Can you start?

No "eye tests" for the 2024 draft for you, apparently.

Perhaps you could back that claim up with a post or two of mine.

Yes, as stated, I don’t watch college football. I usually even skip the championship game these years.

I’m not surprised the Bears traded out of Carter. I am surprised they did it for next to nothing.

Thought I’d be a lot more fired up after this pick.

I feel like the girl who wanted the dangerous and exciting boyfriend and got the boring/safe boyfriend instead.

Did I want something more exciting? Yes. Am I mad we got a starting OT. Not really. He should be a good player. Yes, I wanted the shiny RB, but he wasn’t going to be there regardless.

I just find it hard to believe they couldn’t find a better offer. Or you could have drafted him. And then even tried to trade him. Worst case scenario you’re stuck with possibly the best player in the draft at your biggest position of need.

I’m sure the disappointment of Bijan not being an option factors into my slight disappointment with the pick. I’m ok with the Wright pick, just feel like they didn’t necessarily get the most out of their spot.

You are such a fucking moron. If only you had more grey matter and could understand nuance. I’m not necessarily disappointed in the pick. I’m disappointed in the value (and lack of value) they got. I think Wright is a solid pick, just not the value I think they could have gotten there. And for the 12th time, they got a lot more for tanking than Darnell Wright you freaking moron.

Bitter? Wouldn’t go that far. Underwhelming. That fits. I’d rate yesterday’s 1st round a 7.5. I just expected a 9 or better. I don’t mind Darnell Wright. Just don’t think they got good value for the 9th pick.

Could they have gotten a Chase Young and the 16th pick for Jalen Carter and a 4th rounder? I sure hope they tried.

Again, Spark. I don’t hate the way it turned out. I just think it could have been “better,” and should have been better. I think Poles blinked.

But you know what? Out of good faith I’ll just assume we have all the information possibly available (we don’t), and say well done by the Bears.

All I’m saying is I feel yesterday could have gone better. Was it a bad day for the Bears? No, I wouldn’t say that at all.

I don't find anything "objectionable" there. Again I just feel like there was more value to be had re: Carter. Maybe there wasn't. I'm confident Poles isn't inept enough not to have not tested the waters on a Carter trade down weeks or days ago. I do think it's a bad look when you just made the best team in your conference better for a day 3 pick. As I said, the more I've thought about it, it makes me think Poles was on the Darnell Wright no matter what train.

I still give the Bears a passing grade on the day. Just think it could have been better. Perhaps I'm wrong.

I was only halfway through the draft thread....

I was only halfway through the draft thread....

90% of what you just shared was my disappointment in them not getting more (value) for the 10th pick. Which I acknowledged that was one of my “beefs” a mere 5 posts or so ago.

Read your post again. I was not upset with the pick. I was surprised they gave away Carter for next to nothing.

Yes, i wanted Bijan. Unfortunately he wasn’t even an option as he was off the board. Again, nuance not really your thing. Where in those posts did I say I was unhappy with the draft overall?

Maybe Jobu can handle it.

Seems he spends most of his time scrolling my feed, so he’ll have to change his Twitter habits.

Reading is hard for ThePAMan.

Posted an hour or so ago. Before PAMan “owned” me with his “finds.”

Now go back and maybe find something where I am upset about the actual draft picks (minus Roschon, which at first I did not like).

Again, for the dullards here; I didn’t dislike the Wright pick. I just thought Carter could have returned more value (and didn’t like that they gave the best team in the NFC arguably the best player in the draft for next to nothing). That was by far my biggest problem with the draft.
