Have some baseball cards somewhere. Have the gum from the packs too.

I have a couple of boxes (or had). Hopefully they are in my garage. Lots of Cal Ripken, Roger Clemens, Frank Thomas, Ken Griffey, Chipper Jones rookies. Have a Dan Marino rookie card, but unfortunately not mint. I’d guess the value of my collection is near 3k. Sure hope I find them because I can’t remember seeing them since moving to Itasca.

That's still awesome $3k! I need to find mine. Not sure what condition mine would be in.

Had a pretty good collection from the late 50s and early 60s.  Liked the 1960 card design in particular.  I also seem to remember the Luis Aparicio card being a hard one to find at the time.

Sold most of my remaining cards a few years ago.

You were smart, obviously the other big one was Hank Aaron. Oh well

I just would like a Prior one

Save the gum for when we have a get -together.

So talked to my buddy last night. Again, he buys cards in bulk. He does have to sort them, but the ones he sells are usually $1-$3. Has a scanning device that will handle a stack of 30 or so at a time, scan top and bottom and automatically make an eBay listing. Makes a good side coin, but he knows what will sell and what won’t.

And if a card is valued at $100, you’ll be lucky to get $65. Especially from a dealer.

Right. So it's not about finding the most valuable cards and trying to make money off those, it's a volume game.
