Figured since the trade has been made we could just scrap the old thread and start anew.

Jalen Carter said to have put on 9 pounds since the combine. Curious as to whether that’s “good” weight. Wouldn’t think so. This is a guy who admitted he wasn’t in shape for the college playoffs.

Definite red flags. But NFL GMs will still take him early because SEC defense.

Certainly an enticing prospect. I just think I’d be willing to let someone else roll the dice on him. Especially if I can get someone to trade up for him.

I think he’s a defense/game-changing prospect if healthy and you think he’ll be cleared of all charges. You absolutely take him at 9 if available in my opinion.

Or it’s possible Dan Campbell said that. Either way, both are always preaching effort. Like more than most coaches (although I’m sure all value it).

Jacob Infante believes the Bears should be on the phone with the Colts regarding the availability of DeForest Buckner. I second that option.

Absolutely, and I’d be surprised if that conversation hasn’t happened. I think I heard that Buckner is Flus’ favorite player he’s ever had.
