B+.
I can't give an A to team that dropped 3 of its last 4 after starting 7-1.  Choking away back to back to back games to MSU, Purdue, and Scum for the West title took the air out of the season for me.   Have to learn how to finish close games.  This should have a been a 10-2 team.

4 AP All-Americans, with Witherspoon 1st string.
Witherspoon didn't play football until his Jr year in HS. Signed with Illinois in August 2019 and in fall camp a week or so later.

A-, only because we had this lined up for a 10-2 season and blew Indiana and the two home losses. Really hard to go lower than that when we're going to a decent bowl and should have multiple guys drafted again.

Over the course of a season, who knows what the impact of calls is on the scheme of things.
But there were game changing calls in the Indiana, PU and Michigan games.

We probably weren’t as good as the team that spanked Wisconsin in Camp Randall, dominated the Gofs, and manhandled Nebraska in Lincoln, and probably weren’t as bad as the team that lost to Indiana and later laid consecutive eggs at home against Sparty and Purdue.
