Hey all, just popped in to see what Truth's moronic rationalization was.

Hope the rest of you had fun.

Ugh, I said at halftime they needed to play Sencire Harris.  So yes, I am a smarter fan than you faggot.

But I am also rational enough to realize a team gets down 15 in the 2nd half, 99% of the time they lose unless an out of nowhere thing happens like a guy going 8/9 on threes

It’s one game.  I had them 0-2 in this tourney.  So they fluked one. 1 win in 20 year probability.  So be it.  Virgina will be a loss

You might be surprised to know that Illinois has come back from 15 multiple times in the past 17 years. Even as much as 23 down. 🤯

Oh, and the decision to go to the “gimmick” pressure defense was the catalyst for the comeback.

You did not. You said it after he came in and Brad put the pressure on and the game flipped. That’s not superior intellect; it’s run of the mill hindsight.

Not to a top 10 team.  Fairly certain Arizona in 2005 was last time it happened

No doubt...down the stretch. But he needs to be the yang to shannon's yin. He's not dominating like he should for an aspiring NBA pick. He needs two solid halves so that we can be more of a threat come conference play and into the dance.

I am nitpicking. We won. And truth (whatever name that dickspank goes by now) can eat a possom cok.

Man, wish I was in Vegas right now. I'd get me a sativa fatty, and go to the best strip club in town wearing a Shannon. Jr jersey

Hawkins doesn’t have a choice. This is Shannon’s team. He’s a fucking baller. Hawkins just needs to know his role. He’s a big guy with a lot of tools but he’s not an alpha by any means.

Chill. It took Shannon hitting 8/9 threes to do it.  Yeah, Illinois would be capable of beating top 10 teams if he does that consistently.  But likely he won’t

Actually, he could have missed a couple more and they still win. No reason this can’t be a really really good team.

I’d agree with that. Don’t think a team led by Hawkins is a great team.

This is one of the best blurbs ever posted at this new version of the HQ. The one after it was pretty good, too.

Inching ever closer to that elusive 14th win in the post-Kofi era.
