You made my point. The owner of the house paid the property taxes, not the purchaser. The seller was not able to pass the property taxes on to his buyer.

He was pissed and desperate to get out of the house.

You make zero sense in all this. Of course people can move, but there are costs to that and the other landlord may have the same property tax issues unless in a shitty neighborhood.

I fail to see how this is hot take territory, Murph34

The ironic thing about democrats is they claim to be looking out for the best interest of the lower class, but their energy policies harm the lower class more than anyone.

Wealthy people can afford $5/gallon gas, and high heating bills.  The lower class are affected disproportionately.  So why would any person making under 50,000 ever vote for Democrats?

The only good thing Trump did in office was the Supreme Court.  Roe V Wade dead.  Affirmative Action dead.  But the courts can’t fix bad fiscal/energy policy

Ironically the Supreme Court handed the Dems a lifeline.

NO SHIT!  What’s the benefit to the opposite?  You want to make it more costly to do business? Why?

Right. Get rid of wasteful spending that prevents acid rain, black lung, or workplace accidents. Get rid of minimum wages and overtime pay.

Except shutting down the crappy pipeline extension had no effect on energy prices.

The poor suffer more from  climate change and would benefit from an actual aggressive  green energy policy.

No, he loves other people paying them.  Like all socialists. When you are sucking on the teat of the public pension system, then you don’t want any govt program cut bc ultimately they will eventually get to yours.

I mean the dude literally wants more red tape.  He actually thinks it’s a negative for businesses to do business as easily as possible.

Nichi-  move to Venezuela.  You’ll love it there.  Or China.  Or stay in Illinois until they run out of money which will be by 2030.

God Forbid we ever actually get a conservative in the White House.  Someone that only protects the borders and cuts spending and cuts taxes. Not the Trump era spend spend spend populism.   Some of you people gonna have to get off your asses and get to fucking work

It's rude to talk about others when they are present. You Nazis wing nuts invariably point to Venezuela when the desirable model is Denmark.

Free market economy when free markets work. Regulate to prevent monopolies and abuses.
Central planning when central planning works.

Pure free markets and pure socialism invariably fail. Mixed economies are the only thing that works.

The wing nuts generally reply, in so many words, that we have too many non-whites for the Scandinavian model to work here.

Would you move to Denmark if your property taxes go up ?

Doubt they'd have me. My property taxes are actually  reasonable. I do need to shop my homeowners insurance next time it comes due.

Seriously, I don't think we can exactly duplicate what Denmark does, but nationalizing the oil industry might be a good idea.

We could see if Meghan Markle wants the Queen position.
And if you need a referral, just ask.
The current resident of the White House has vowed to eliminate the oil industry.

The problem is we don't have enough AOC's in the world. We need a massive marshall plan to put 1.21 Gigawatts of solar/wind out there, and amp up electric vehicle and battery production, heat pumps. Then we don't need gas and we have lower heating bills.

Forget climate change, this is an economic and national security issue. And that's a shit ton of roll your sleeves up blue collar jobs.

Most conservatives have left Illinois by now and don’t give a fuck. Like me.

They all moved to Florida, to create this illusion that Ron DeSantis will have any national constituency. If you can pick your voters, you look great.

Question: if you could do all the things you can do with oil, without the actual oil, would you? Or are you just a fossil

If they sold this as, if we do this, we can tell the fucking third world countries that form OPEC and the gas station that is Russia to fuck off, then people might go for it.
