I think Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse’s take on the Epstein files hullabaloo is right on target. Yesterday he suggested in an interview that "the word 'hoax'” for Trump is a poker tell. It's Trump’s way of basically admitting something is true. Trump-Russia, climate change, now Jeffrey Epstein, he calls it all a “hoax." It’s his way of attempting to dismiss the crisis and package it up for his cult,
The problem is he’s still getting pushback from Trumpers, so we’ve now entered the bully phase of Trump’s nightmare. By calling his followers “weaklings”, he's trying to intimidate them into dropping their Epstein obsession, but it isn’t working out very well. Creating a major distraction is probably Trump's next step.
So here is the conundrum for MAGA World. Will they sacrifice their own loose sense of morality before they let anyone make them look like fools for supporting a sexually depraved moron?
