The point being, that at some point, the Reps we send to DC will say "fine, you can have your federal tax cuts, let the states self fund". California currently gets 65 cents back for every dollar we send to DC. Mississippi gets $2.60 for every dollar that they send to DC. If we cut the taxes, we'll have to cut the outflow. The net result will be that California's coffers will get MORE full - and we would eventually get state tax cuts, and Mississippi will go broke. Maybe they don't give two fucks about that. Dunno.

The devil is always in the details.  When push comes to shove, I don't think there would be much congressional support for that deal, even among the CA delegation.  All you are doing is opening up a nice can of worms.

You’d think California would want to help all the poors in Mississippi with no resources but they actually don’t want to help political rivals unless it’s paying minorities to vote Democrat ! Poor white folk voting for Trump must be punished !

According to Newsweek, the DC grand jury files were transferred to Cannon on March 24.
