At the end of the day, he was no better than Rick Renteria. Subpar defense, awful base running, failing time and time again with RISP and the sudden and alarming lack of power. Not at all the traits you see in a playoff team let alone a championship contender.

But Jerry Reinsdorf didn't allow him to get fired midseason this time so...yay?
