That one is going to leave a mark.
You should probably rethink this take:
Coach #1: fired multiple times and accused of player abuse. Once locking a kid in a dark shed because he was “faking a concussion.”
Coach #2: one of the epically disastrous hires in NFL history. Infamous for exposing his dong to the entire team. An NFL pariah since his days in SF. Went 1-21 as a high school coach before stepping down.
Coach #3: Oversaw a practice in which a kid needlessly fell to his death from 40 feet in high winds. The kid literally tweeted that he was going to die. And no one, including the head coach had the decency or awareness to say “get that damn kid down from there.” Accountability level from Brian Kelly: nonexistent.
Coach #4: multiple stops in college and jetted from the pros for being bad, and was accused of racism by Eagles players on his way out the door. Another scarlet letter coach. Also accused of racism by UCLA players.
Anyone picking up on a theme here?
Lousy coaches, and even worse people. And I’m still not sure any of them said anything quite as bad as what Bielema said today.
