Damn, I decided to take a quick nap through the best quarter of Illini Football since the Ron Zook era.

The fourth quarter against Wisconsin in 2019 was better but yeah

Yeah, I missed all but the last couple of minutes of that game.

Very fair. Let’s call it top 5.

I wouldn't put money on that. But I wouldn't be surprised.

Good game today. However, this video makes it even better.

Mn, I was at the game. It was really fucking hot in there and trying to get a beer was tough. They truly are incompetent running things down there.

Nebraska had receivers wide open all day. Dude above is right that Martinez isn't good. O line at least showed up for the second half (when they ran left).

Nebraska fans showed up and didn't stick around long after the game. Delusional fanbase. Basically the football version of Illinois viz a viz basketball.

Going to be a long season for both teams but I bought plane tickets to CA for New Years....

Martinez has never been an accurate passer. He plays because of his running ability, and he may very well be their best qb option. Gotta take the bad with the good with him. Penalties, missed pats and the mindfuck safety hurt them; and we are well versed in that kind of football and the record it leads to.
Nebby fans were led to believe this was Frost's best team, and red kool-aid goes down the same as orange or any other color.
We ran for more yards, went 15-19 passing, 6-13 in 3rd down conversions, had only 3 penalties, won time of possession by 10 minutes, and looked better coached.
You went, so good for you. Hopefully we'll start seeing more people going.
How many Nebby fans ? 10k ?
Still hiding behind innuendo and practicing the art of ommision.

Don't know but there were a shit load of NE fans, as to be expected.

They gave away 2 tickets to each UofI employee if the employee wanted them.

Student section was actually full for the 1st half.

Good win for Illinois.

Until Frost starts holding players accountable for repeated on-field mistakes, the Huskers are going to flounder. Nebraska special teams should have been awarded Illinois player of the game after yesterday's showing. That group was awful -- 2 missed XPs, horrible decision to field a punt inside the 5 that led to an IL safety, several bad punts... But the real issue starts and ends at QB. By all accounts, Adrian Martinez is a great kid. Unfortunately for Nebraska, he's a poor QB who is prone to turnovers and mental mistakes. In addition, he routinely throws errant passes at wide open receivers -- when he sees them. This has been going on since he arrived on campus. Downright maddening if you're a Nebraska fan. Wonder what the alleged extra practices / workouts were focused on?
