I remember being a bit underwhelmed, but then I quickly remembered that this is Illinois football.

You’re right, I should be licking Whitman’s nuts a little harder since he turned the football program around in only 8-9 years. Let’s hope our newfound glory days last longer than Zook’s.

i'm pretty optimistic, here, we've lost a LOT of Sunday level players while Bielema has been here, and it looks like the engine is still humming. Then again, in Zook's last year, we started 6-0 and ended 6-6

A desperate AD took a shot on a washed out coach, and it’s paid off pretty well up to this point. It was said AD’s second shot on such a coach. If any of you have a problem with what I said, suck it. But that’s exactly what happened. Kudos to Whitman on making the hire
