What does “success” look like for the Bears in 2025

I’ll dial back the expectations a hair and say that if the Bears have a realistic chance at the playoffs on Dec. 27th (like 35% or better), and Caleb looks like a franchise quarterback, I’ll call this year a success. 4,000 yards would be nice, but not a requirement.

I'd prefer zero wins. I was only on loan to the state of Illinois for college, DB4L

Looking competent offensively and defensively. Not a high bar.

Injuries piling up (especially defensively) for the Bears is dampening my enthusiasm a bit. Edwards and Brisker left the practice field with trainers, Booker moved to IR (not available till week 6), Gordon and Johnson should be back week 1, but these other injuries necessitate that they are back to full strength much sooner than later.

And GB just traded for Micah Parsons.

Define “competent.”

The eye test is a start. Bielema brought it early.

It’s arguably the best division in football. Weird to say, but it’s true. If they can stay healthy and Caleb takes the next step I think they can compete for a playoff spot.

Best division in football. Also the Bear only win when they’re darkhorses in a bad conference. 7–10 looks likely.
