UCONN

They do not do well in fast break points, or fast break defense.
They are not any better than us really with rebounds per game.
We actually have a better scoring offense, per game.
They are better FG%, very half court driven though.
We foul more, they are not great at FT% per game, we actually make more.
They have a much better scoring defense, not in the open court.
Scoring margin they are better, we are in the picture, even really.
They don't create a lot of steals, we don't either.
They are not that great at 3pt defense.
They do turn the ball over, we don't force a lot.
ILLINI push ball play inside, cause fouls, UCONN not deep, that is the Kryponite!

92% winning % to ILLINI @ 78%

If the ILLINI push the ball, in turn speeding up UCONN, and rebound well with them, shoot our normal 3pt% in this game, we will have a very good chance of winning.

If the ILLINI do not play defense with the same passion, crash the boards and get TSJ out in transition (UCONN) will have major issues here, then I am afraid our season will end. Final Four dammit, here we come!

If our season ends with UConn hardcore butt fucking us, it won't take away from what an enjoyable ride this season was.

COACH UNDERWOOD, please watch the film of ALL 3 times St Johns played UCONN this year. 3 losses by a grand total of 18 points and 13 of them was the 2nd meeting between the 2 schools.

We are WAY better than St. Johns, we match up better, we have a better offense, we CAN play better defense, obviously Pitino figured out something against them, just not all the way.

Clingan can be put in foul trouble at 7'2"

The key however it seems is keep Newton off the boards, and Castle from taking over as a freshman.

Overall UCONN is no where close to being a deep team, we can get them in foul trouble if we don't fall in love with the 3 pointer by itself.

Happy we have the early game as well. UConn is as hot as we are and played better last night but I think we give them a better game than SD St.

We are playing with house money now. Obviously, would love to see us make the Final Four, but I’ll be happy if we give UConn all they can handle. They look like a juggernaut right now.

My first guess was +7.5 and I saw that number somewhere, but obviously will fluctuate depending on where you look.

I heard some analysts before the tournament saying Illinois may present UConn some matchup problems or be one of the few teams that could actually threaten them in the tourney. So 8-9 point dogs seems high
