He doesn’t call the plays…or in this case, he apparently did. Tim Jenkins said a lot of those screens were “run adjusts,” meaning Fields had the option to go with the run or the screen. So I guess now you have to credit Fields for calling a great game.

All that I did was suggest Bagent could stay and Getsy and Fields could go.
I never said Bagent would be a starter, I never said Fields might be a better choice to retain than Bagent as the back-up. I never said that Bagent would be a better back-up than Fields.
It's entirely possible that Fields could go, the Bears draft a qb and deal Fields.

You know that is not out of the question. You're making shit up rather than admit to something that you know is not out of the question.

But go ahead, tell me they won't deal Fields for a 3rd or 4th round pick.

I have never ever said the Bears aren’t moving on from Fields. I’m saying I wouldn’t. Not yet. I’d bring him back for another year. And if you want to draft his potential replacement, I wouldn’t have a major problem with that. Might be the prudent thing to do.

Keep Fields, draft a guy #1 or 2 and if Fields isn’t playing like you want him to trade him for whatever you can get at next years’ deadline. I have no problem with that approach.
