Well he did compile nothing except missed shots and a personal foul in 7 mins and had one of the worst +/- on the team so maybe there’s a difference between shooting in practice and shooting in a bright lights matchup against a top 5 team 3 games into your freshman year
Yeah, he had a nonfactor game vs Kansas also and got a quick hook.
He then had the big game vs EIU.
He seems to be being put in at the 15 minute mark and they kind of assess from there.
No doubt there is an adaptive learning curve for him and Hansberry.
What I would say is we need to promote his development and take the ups and downs that go with it.
His ceiling is so much higher than Rodgers who is a stopgap out there and it is apparent he is never likely going to be able to shoot well enough to be a long term option.
We are not going to the FF.
Play Rodgers all year heavy minutes on top and we end up ranked 20-30.
Play DGL more and have him assume a bigger role in the guard rotation and we end up ranked 20-30, but have a chance to be better overall by end of year.
Either way we are a 10-12 win team in the BT.
Rodgers can play the 4 where he belongs and we would have more depth inside with a usable defender and rebounder to backup Guerrier and Hawkins.
