FTR I don’t recall anyone saying he was an elite pass rusher. The narrative on him was that he was a guy who played both run and pass well and is a good lockerroom guy.

I'm glad he made the play. But I'm not judging his ability on it. I said the reason pass rushers need to run down a play and make a tackle is because contain was broken. If contain is not broken, well then that play doesn't need to be made, right? Because the play is made long before the need to run down a play exists.

Just so we're 100% clear. When a fucking pass rusher is running down the field after a running back (or Taysom Hill, one of the best runners in football), it means something negative happened. It's nice that said pass rusher was able to run it down and save a touchdown, but do we want that to happen frequently? Fuck no. It's nice that he saved said touchdown, but I would rather see the play made when it's supposed to be made.
