Only JFC can't be judged by his record in games he started?

Those are murky waters. Especially when judging 1st and 2nd year quarterbacks who’ve been given very little or nothing to work with.

There are also “winning quarterbacks” (Tony Romo and Philip Rivers for example) and there are Super Bowl quarterbacks (Patrick Mahomes/Joe Burrow).

I think it’ll be a lot fairer to judge Fields on wins and losses in years 3 and 4 if that’s how you love judging quarterbacks. But by and large, wins and losses are not a quarterback stat.

I’ll bet Archie Manning would have been a lot better quarterback had he played for Pittsburgh instead of New Orleans.

The fact that Cowherd’s list was clearly intended to mean “as a starter,” and not as a guy on IR or a backup, you clearly were going out of your way to be argumentative with me or get me on a “gotcha.” Based on the rest of his career, the first 12-13 games of Wentz’ 2017 is clearly the outlier. Not the norm. He didn’t take a snap basically the last two months of the season, so calling him a “Super Bowl winning quarterback” seems a big stretch, especially given the obvious context of the discussion.

I don't get why ChickenGeorge is at fault when it is obvious he read the rest of the list and it does not appear you did.

There have been some QBs of dubious quality,  aka "game managers," who have "won" Super Bowls, no?

Yes, which is one of the many reasons why measuring quarterbacks by wins/losses/ Super Bowls is kind of dumb. Especially if one guy has like 1 Super Bowl to another’s 0.

The list was QBs drafted since 2013. Not sure why Manziel would even warrant being on the list, but it’s pretty obvious he’s talking about guys who can’t win as a starter. No one is saying Carson Wentz can’t back up Patrick Mahomes and win a SB in KC. I’m fairly certain that wasn’t point of his list.

Now if you’re talking Tom Brady, it would be pretty dumb to remove his super bowls from the discussion.

If anyone thought Carson Wentz was a SB caliber QB he wouldn’t be out of a job and looking for his 4th team in 4 years.

While you do make sense, the fact is that Manziel and Haskins were included on the list.

Your mistake may be trying to apply common sense to Colin Cowherd?

No, just pointing out the cluelessness and insensitivity of he and his entire production crew not realizing a young man on his list was killed only a year or so ago.

And calling out ChickenGeorge for understanding what nonsense Cowherd was saying?

I called him out because of his very insincere effort to “gotcha” me.

I doubt Cowherd did the graphic himself to make the one error.

Second, he is technically right. Haskins is not going to win a Super Bowl.

Third, Wentz won one with the Eagle, right? He's wrong on that one.

Fourth, can't understand why you or anyone else cares what Colin Cowherd thinks on any topic.

Haskins certainly wouldn’t pass Tempo’s “Bears Athlete Rules of the Road” exam, that’s for sure.

He "gotcha" by reading and commenting on Cowherd's list instead of just reading a Tweet about it?
