On another front; wing nut version of events: Child porn was being shared openly and nothing was being done about  it. Elon Musk put a stop to it simply by banning pedo accounts associated with a few offending hash tags.

Meanwhile, Musk has actually gutted the staff handling child porn. 

From what I gather, it's been an ongoing issue. Twitter's outdated automated monitoring software can't distinguish permitted adult material from child porn. Banning accounts tends to be  whack- a-mole. So it's hands on and requires staff.
