I think we all know that Putin's aim has been to recreate the Russian Empire, but to do that he has to break the EU, NATO and the Transatlantic alliance.  We may be about to find out how close Putin has come to succeeding in those endeavors.  One obstacle is that he cannot afford for the Russian economy to get any worse than it is.

The sooner Putin is dead the better this world will be.

Any incursion into Ukraine will have U.S. tightening sanctions further.  That won't help his economy.

The manslaughter verdict was in the sights for close to a year now. Cities across the country were boarding up in case that was the only guilty verdict.
Looks like Minneapolis is quiet tonight, so far.

In his post verdict presser, AG Ellison said the 3 other officers weren't able to stop Chauvin's ego from getting in the way. They've got trials coming up for aiding and abetting.
