I haven’t read the vast majority of this thread, but we’ve concluded that cycling is a healthy activity but that it’s mostly gay, right?

my larger point went over your head. If you look at the penalties for actual vehicular mayhem, drunk driving, etc... they are trivial.

Oh, you killed someone while driving drunk. We're gonna suspend your license. Except we will allow you to drive to work, because that would be a hardship. Do we let people who shoot someone get out of prison to go to work, because it would be a hardship?

Then if they drive anyway, what's the penalty? A longer suspension of their drivers license - a suspension they were ignoring anyway.

I had a more aggro period and there's certainly a flight response when really bad shit happens, but Gaimon is smarter, younger, and less rich than the guy in the video above. So he handled it better.
