https://bustingbrackets.com/ranking-the-15-best-frontcourts-in-college-basketball-entering-2026-27-basketball

Can't argue with much other than the lower ranked teams on here were a LOT of collective rotational frontcourt players...why grade them out then?

Same article could have been Top5 imo.

We have enough cash to pay these guys?

Gonna lose Q, V, Mirk, Ivisic 2.0, Andre all at once possibly.....I think the truck is full backing up.

2027 Class of Pettigrew @ 6'3 true PG skills and Cole Kelly 6'6 do everything SF type....maybe a Ed Stasys add in 2026? The kid can shoot/follow up with either hand and is good at seeing the floor and passing.

No other "legit" B1G's on the horizen though, which leads me to think the portal will be providing those after the Ivisic' twins leave.

Landon Davis is our next "gem" uncovered by the staff. This kid is getting high praise from BU (we've heard it before I know).

This kid is going to have Auggie type of skills in the open court, with better positional defense at his size as well.

Looking forward to seeing this kid grow.

Bowman is off the table. UCONN commit done deal. Moussa is scheduled to go after us so we will see, it has been rumored the two may play together. If thats the case don't be surprised to see the dates change and or not happen with the 2nd domino here.

Either way Pettigrew I think we are very solid with and will get. Reclass into the 27 class?
Kelly may be 2027 as well but more than likely stays 2028.
Bentley Lusakueno seems like a stretch, but very CoHawk kind of a player, so we could push that narrative.

They were nice. An Illini final four is probably the only reason I would go to Detroit at this point!

Probably? LOL

Welcome home Quentin, favor to Ayo I am sure, doesn't hurt to add a bench/role player from Mac Irvin either.

These guys once again are ripped....Fletched you might say.....Lead by example.

Landon looks bigger than JJ in this picture.....really think this kid could be our next Augie.....he has that kind of movement on the court.

Best case scenario imo would be looking at a Dec 4th FULL return, he may get some playing time with rehab/Fletch working their magic before then, but really no other reason before then to return too early.

Non Conference up to then is very winnable without Mirk EXCEPT  for the Duke game.

Duke pre-season #1- #2 in most places, maybe a loss with him, maybe not.....50/50 either way so why risk it? No shame in losing to a #1-2? team without possibly our best player?

UCONN is the game that he should be ready for and the ONE that we need him the most non conference schedule wise!

AJ WILLIAMS classifying into 2027, ILLINI's in final 9 that he is looking at.....slide into Stoyakovic spot would be selling point imo....Kelly backing up "once" we get him or taking his place.

For those who missed the WNBA All Star game, here are some of the highlights ...

They should be paid more imo.......

Clark, A'Ja, Sophie can carry the league, but in NO WAY, should the expectations be underpaid.....under appreciated. This just isn't a viable professional model except to promote inclusion....but play in smaller arena's first off, more promotional give aways (people generally love that crap) but otherwise it has grown as much as it can unless the league players as a whole catch up with the above 3 mentioned.
