Perhaps he should follow Mike Tisdale into the retail sector. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/35563969/meyers-leonard-seeks-return-nba-post-antisemitic-slur

Let's be honest. If people thought he could play, he would be in The League.
That being said, his agents (if he still has them), should have him out doing some charity work to get him publicly back in good graces so he can move on. Americans are forgiving, well, we used to be. Hell, Bernstein has even conned Tempo while he still shills for GOPers while doing his I am Woke bit. (I know that is not saying much.)

Stop cancel culture!

Well considering how Jewish owned most sports teams and especially the NBA is, kind of a stupid move to say something like that in public and if it's between him and some other guy to make the cut you know damn well they aren't going to take him
-
Geez let it go, Julian Edelman gave him a stern talking to for chrissakes.

Plus he's not that great at playing NBA basketball, and he's coming off of shoulder and ankle surgery.
Not worth it. Unless you need a 10 day contract guy.

Maybe Julian can hook him up with appearing in Verizon commercials. He and Cecily Strong can talk about the relative Jewish populations in LA vs. south-central Illinois.

I thought Strong was from Oak Park.

If he would have just stuck to Solitaire, still be collecting checks.. :o

True. Then, he could have called himself a kike bitch.

It's a shame that people are judged by their worst moments. Then they are pressured to issue some fake public apology; which of course, is not accepted.

Seems to have worked out for Greg Olsen.

Eh. He's a fucking retard. And thinks we're all retards by floating the "I didn't know what the word meant" horseshit.
He's from Robinson, IL. He knew exactly what that word meant.
Throwing racial slurs on a video game livestream. Durrrrr
-
I don’t believe for a second that he knew what it meant. Partly because he’s from Robinson. There are no Jews in Robinson. It’s an antiquated slang term. I’m 10+ years older than Meyers and it’s barely on my radar. Also, Jews aren’t a race.

We can agree to disagree. I actually have relatives from down there. I'm quite certain that they (and most others down there) are well versed on all of the slang, whether the race (or religion) resides there or not.
True, it is anitquated. But he said it to insult someone. No way he thought kike was just some inanimate object.

You are forgetting they could have read about it on The Twitter.

As I mentioned previously, I recall the first time I heard the word. This was roughly 50 years ago in ECI. I was discussing NYC with two Jewbus. One thought it was a great place. The other said were too many kikes. I had the idea he was being sarcastic, but thought he meant lesbians. (dykes). I only found out it was some kind of ethnic slur for Jews later on. This was way before twitter.

I call BS. Nothing ever happened before The Twitter.

Are you fuckheads telling me that you haven't seen Porky's?

Was going to say that I learned it in a movie, but was struggling to remember which one. Yes, it was Porky’s. Ironically, where the guy calls him a “kite.”
-

Aside from the Meyers incident (and subsequent reference to same), that is literally the only other time I have heard that term uttered.

The fact that it’s such a dumb “insult” reinforces my belief that he didn’t know what it meant.

I have no clue what he knew when, but are you sure you are not giving him too much credit?
-
I guess it’s possible but why would anyone call anyone else a kike in this day and age? It’s a poor insult.

Because the person is not very sophisticated? I do not know.
It is true that one could do better.

I would think tool would be the insult of choice. Or dick.

He’s back…

Meyers, Key!

Thank goodness Meyers is back in the league. I was worried how Meyers and Elle would ever make ends meet.
