Post by: Dominic on December 13, 2022, 03:54:56 PM: Congrats to Walters. Hopefully Bielema gets another DC from the SEC. Really doubt Leonhard comes bc Fickell said he’d keep him and quite likely Leonhard could be an NFL DC too.

I think what will be interesting is how many recruits follow Walters. It sounds like more of the Illini staff is going to be going with Ryan to Purdue. I think Purdue is a great job for a first time coach. Relatively low expectations, but walking into a place that is stable. Better job than Colorado. No first time HC should turn that down.

Big 10 West with USC/UCLA have some heavy hitter coaches if they keep the divisions:

Lincoln Riley
PJ Fleck
Matt Rhule
Luke Fickell
Chip Kelly
Kirk Ferentz
