This would be fantastic.

Whitmore and RJ starting on the wings, with Skyy/Epps running the show, Hawkins inside out with Rodgers and Dain doing his thing? We would be hella young, but some serious talent with Goode mixed in as well, some Sencire ballin going on next year!!!

Smells like an Urban Meyer situation.  He’ll be back coaching a power sometime within the next 3 years.

Villanova hiring Kyle Neptune seems crazy to me. Handing the keys to a guy with 1 year of head coaching experience at Fordham.  Guess Villanova is following the Duke/UNC path of promoting assts. It’s worked for them

Great coach and seems to be a good guy, as well.

No, Wright won't, he is a coach cut from a different cloth. Very underrated overall.

As far as Neptune, easy pick for them. Wright stays on and trusts him, He has 10 years with Wright, is young/black/great with student athletes per article, and can recruit with personality. Seems to check all the 2022 boxes needed for a coach.

Bet UCLA wishes he’d have retired a couple years earlier. Perfect candidate for them in every way.

Yeah except for him being an east coast guy

Jay Wright does hair shampoo commercials.  He’s not cut from any cloth other than self promotion

Mick Cronin at UCLA:

1st season: Pac 12 COY
2nd season: Final Four
3rd season: Sweet 16

I don’t think they regret it one bit.

Wright, like Urban Meyer when he retired from Florida, will have his pick of blue blood jobs

Cronin has done a good job, but don’t think for one second they wouldn’t rather have a 2x national champion who looks good on camera.

Wright is 60 and wealthy. Our perceptions are skewed because of guys Boeheim, but the job has a lot of wear and tear, he doesn't need it, and it's perfectly normal for rich dudes to retire young.

There's like a 2% chance he's really retiring and won't be coaching in some capacity in two years.

He is good fit for the pro game if that is what he wants to do.
