Sad news this morning. Quirky but endearing Chicago sports legend. Came really close to meeting up with him and his longtime GF at a George Thorogood concert in Elk Grove last summer. Wish I had. Never got to meet him. I’m Facebook friends with him and his GF on Facebook and when I posted a pic of me and my son at the concert, I got a notification from Les saying Kathy wanted us to meet with them. I looked around for a bit, but the crowd was rather large and I knew my then 6 year old probably wouldn’t want to stay the entire show so I didn’t make an all out effort to find them.
Bit of an oddball, but seems like everyone that knew him loved him. The voice of the Chicago sports Everyman has been silenced.

Were you a regular caller to the overnight show?

Not my crowd. No.

I read this article and was left wondering what a Tempo would do with the Fuck You Money that this Portnoy cat appears to have.

My second thought was "Barstool has bars?" Apparently there is even one in Chicago. Never knew.

I bet Tempo would continue living modestly and donate it all to various marginalized groups.
Just kidding he’d build a mansion on First Nation land and up his social media virtual signaling to make himself feel better about it.

Les may be dead, but Tempo will be excited that Dan Bernstein will be back.
Dan Bernstein expected to host podcasts for Hubbard Broadcasting
Bernstein, the former host at The Score who was fired in March, is nearing an agreement to do podcasts with Hubbard, the Sun-Times has learned. Matt Abbatacola, who was a producer for Bernstein at The Score, is expected to have a role.
