Title: Need streaming video for ESPN & BTN (now tied w/Fox Sports)
Post by: chimpanzee on December 01, 2021, 05:48:08 AM
I was on Sling Orange ($35/month), which has ESPN..but no Fox (which carries BTN).

So, recently I switched to Sling Blue (which has Fox TV, Fox Sports, $35/month) with extra ($10) .. to get BTN. $45 total. But, missing ESPN is a pain..I kinda need it. I never watch Fox, which sucks

The last BB game (Notre Dame) was on ESPN2, the next game (Rutgers) is also on ESPN2. That will make TWO straight games I can't watch

What is everyone using to get ESPN & Fox Sports (which is linked to BTN)?

Youtube TV? (which is $65/monh)

So, I just "bite the bullet" & go with Youtube TV during BB season?

Have YouTubeTv. Apparently you now can get The Hulu Live with Disney+ and ESPN+ for $75 or something like that. Apparently The Hulu has less streaming accounts and DVR capabilities than The YouTubeTV though.

I've got Hulu Live.  I think it's going up to 69.99(nice) from 59.99 with the addition of Disney+ and ESPN+.  I like Hulu, has all the sports I want, and all the shows I care to watch.  And it's a hell of a lot better than paying like 150 for directv.  And I can still watch when it rains, lol

It doesn't seem to have the weather channel, which kinda sucks, but the only time I want to watch the weather channel is when there's a hurricane and some dipshit reporter is doing a standup in the middle of it and getting tossed around.

I’ve tried them all and keep coming back to YouTubeTV. I pause it after march madness and have it start back up again for football season and just use antenna and free streaming apps for the sparing times we watch TV when it’s nice outside.

I’m assuming you can get NFL Network and Red Zone with Hulu? I’m late to the party on streaming but want to switch.

What are you guys paying for internet? Like 1GB of service?
I see the streaming TV content service costs look good, but you still have to pay to get an ISP.
Is it really that much different than traditional cable and TV bundled in the end? I do buy Netflix and Apple TV, but everybody has those.

I usually call once a year and beat Mediacom down on price. Lol.

I pay $70/month for 1 gig of fiber which is faster than most colleges and businesses. Not disappointed and well worth the price.

Insert Murph's stock price joke here....wouldn't need to steal streaming if you bought that stock.

Spectrum. 100 mbps, $55. Can’t imagine needing gig service for a household.

To get the gig was only like $10 difference from the other option with fiber, so I jumped at it. Got myself a Netgear Nighthawk Wi-Fi 6 Mesh router with two satellites and I’ll never have issues again with internet. Got my main tv hardwired with Ethernet cable and watching stuff is fantastic.

I pay about $4.29 every two weeks for my fiber....pretty regular now and not dissappointed at all in Raisin Bran  ;D

More speed is always good since the dawn of internet. Can never have too much.  👍
