Not really sure who I lean to, and I don’t think he’s leaving Pittsburgh this season, but I’d be damn happy to have Mike Tomlin in Chicago.

Daboll, Leftwich, and Bieniemy have to be top candidates.
Tomlin and Fitzgerald (please God no) are two realistic candidates as well.

I’d agree on all of that. You wouldn’t have to change much if you brought in Bienemy, but he’s got a bit of that Nagy stench on him only by association. And after how spectacularly Nagy failed, do we really want the same system?

Tomlin has never had a losing season in 14 years. Very impressive. Also hasn’t won a playoff game in what will soon be 5 years. I think he stays, but wouldn’t be shocked at a mutual parting of the ways.

Sucked for me because I was within a few points for 1st place with Tony Pollard in my captain spot for a showdown. I had the perfect gamescript to win. But no, let’s not ice the game with the guy who just ran for a 58 yard touchdown; let’s play the guy who’s playing hurt (Zeke) and keep throwing deep. SMH another Pollard TD probably wins me several thousand dollars.

Was pretty sad going in there. 1155AM and only 2 people in the place. They have 2 serving tables where the entrees are, and only one of them had entrees in it today. Place used to be crowded for lunch all the time.

If it helps, MrsMn's MIL was a good cook. My MIL was ok, but Christmas dinner was taking a hunk of meat and putting it in vinegar and spices for a few days, and call it sauerbraten.
So we still do that. I try not to complain. Much.

My MIL is a terrible cook, and she knows it. She takes pride in eating bland food. The less flavor the better.
When I cook out, I have to make sure her meat has absolutely no seasoning. No flavor. Nothing. Drives me crazy.
My wife used to be like this, but I wouldn’t allow it to stand. She now understands what good food is. She actually is a very good cook. We work together a lot on meals.

Outside of his age, I can’t think of any real knocks. I don’t particularly love him, but he’s one of the better coaches in the NFL the last 25 years. The list of coaches who’ve had great success in the NFL and college is like two names, and his is on it.

I’m not in love with Carroll on a personal level, but I do remember reading about how they were constantly trying guys out and keeping things competitive within the team in Seattle. Everything was earned, not given.

A great example is how they went with Russell Wilson over Matt Flynn, who was a prized free-agent acquisition. Couldn’t see Matt Nagy benching a veteran so quickly for a rookie. Not in a million years. I want a coach with that kind of intuition.

The Bears’ leadership and ownership might be severely lacking, but I don’t think McCaskey and Phillips are meddling a lot in football decisions. The decision to go with Dalton was apparently all Nagy’s.
