Title: Bears/Ravens
Post by: Reacher on November 21, 2021, 01:35:16 PM
I actually dozed off for 20 minutes and am watching Red Zone but looks like Nagy is cooking up another hot performance against Lamarless Baltimore.

Please lose to the Ravens, and clean house tomorrow. It’s all I want for Christmas.

Was the Mooney TD a catch and run, or a deep ball?

It was a screen pass that you or I could have completed. Mooney did all the work basically.

4th and 1 and the brilliant offensive mind dials up a wildcat to Montgomery in the teeth of the Ravens D that, not surprisingly, goes nowhere.

That was also called coming out of a timeout and with his tech malfunctioning. Good shit.

That one was not a screen pass. Nice deep ball from Dalton to a wide open Goodwin.

Bears haven't won a game coming off a bye week since 2013.

Losing to the winless Lions on Turkey day would do the trick, but again, the McCaskeys don't operate like that. Never have, never will.

It might not be in season, but Nagy (and hopefully Pace) is done. The last nail in Nagy’s coffin was hammered in glorious fashion today. Pace needs to go, too.

The same people that hired Marc Trestman, John Fox and Matt goddamn Nagy will be making the next GM and HC hires.

But more bites at the apple, amirite?

Well, you can't fire the owners. So yeah, more bites at the apple, more chances at finally hitting the lottery, whatever you want to call it. Have to hope the McCaskeys will eventually get it right as long as they are the ones still calling the shots.

Yeah, the McCaksey’s are boobs, but hiring management is like drafting; you’re going to get it wrong more often than you’ll get it right. As much as I’d rather have different ownership, I like their chances of finally getting lucky better than I like Pace and Nagy’s chances of figuring out how to do their jobs well. Fields should make this a more attractive job for the next management team. So that’s one plus.

And—as I predicted—Fields got banged up pretty good today while playing for nothing.

He’s gaining experience. That’s not nothing. He’ll be fine.
