Title: Bears/Bengals
Post by: Reacher on September 17, 2021, 10:47:25 AM
Let’s get this party started early.

27-24 Bengals my belief in this defense is about shot.

The smartest move the Bears could make this Sunday is making sure that Andy Dalton “pulls a hamstring” in pre-game warmups.

This is the ginger warrior’s big revenge game!

He already beat them last year.

Way to fuck up the narrative.

But now he’s gonna do it again! And show them they’d rather have the Red Rifle than Joe Burrow; or something like that.

They’d cheer for an albino from Montana if he was better at QB.

I get the shits from watching Andy Dalton play quarterback.

Definitely not riding the fence with that hot take.

“Riding the fence” makes you highly controversial and labeled perpetually “wrong.” Even though you are right more than you are wrong.

The most Bearesque thing that could happen is for Dalton to have a great revenge game against the Bengals and extend the QB controversy indefinitely into the meat grinder portion of the schedule.

I’d be surprised if Dalton has a “great game” at any point for the Bears. I think the Rams game was near his ceiling.

That’s probably the best Andy Dalton drive in 2-3 years. Still don’t expect it to last. This game has shootout potential.

Such an undisciplined bullshit taunting call on the Bears to extend the drive. Wtf

Yes, but now that he’s hurt it changes the narrative. He hadn’t been in until then except maybe one play. So no way to actually prove you right or wrong.

The Bears being interesting is taking away from my Red Zone time.

As good as Dalton has looked, we’re still on the verge of going into halftime with 7 points against the Bengals at home.

Post by: Reacher on September 19, 2021, 01:07:31 PM
I just said he was playing well. I’m sorry. Won’t happen again.

And I concurred. Which is why Fields has to play. The ceiling of the offense is severely limited by Dalton

Who the fuck said that?! I think we all wanna see Fields

Post by: Reacher on September 19, 2021, 01:10:11 PM
Mistakes are going to happen in the NFL. That’s why you play explosive players. Trying to “not mistake” your way to victory with a less than dominant defense is a recipe for failure.

Having said that, the defense looks better today.

Why have replay if they’re not going to overturn anything?

I flipped to Red Zone, what happened?
Title: Re: Bears/Bengals
Post by: Reacher on September 19, 2021, 01:20:30 PM
I really could have used that Bryan Edwards TD that was called back. He’s and Freirmuth are my dart throws in the millionaire maker. The rest of my lineup is stellar.
Title: Re: Bears/Bengals
Post by: Judge Judy on September 19, 2021, 01:25:30 PM
Goodwin made a nice catch, but on replay he only had 1 foot down. They let it stand.

Good for the Bears, but replay is a joke if they’re not going to overturn stuff like that.

Yeah clearly not a catch

Agreed. Just can’t have those 2 motion penalties and fumble.

Don’t think anybody on here is saying we wouldn’t be better with Fields in. The only dumbass thinking that is on the Bears sideline unfortunately lol

I’m all for letting him work the kinks out sooner rather than later.

Don’t like the fact that this is still a 7 point game despite the Bears “dominating.”

The INT was a rookie mistake, but I suspect Fields did enough things to keep the job today. Would be surprised if he doesn’t start next week.

Just like the board to go down when it did. Lol

Yeah how fitting the board goes down when it did lol.

Fields should start from here on out.

Great showing by the defense, but we just about gave that game away. Should’ve been an easy win.

Saw the INT now and it was bad no doubt about it. He made some throws his receivers should have caught though.

All in all, this wasn't like the last guy overthrowing receivers by 10+ yards. A lot of easily correctable mistakes.

Crossing pattern, threw it right at the guy; you can tell he never saw him, it happens. Let Fields play and learn. This team isn’t winning any playoff games (unless what we saw out of the defense wasn’t a one-off). Our lack of quality secondary play and depth will probably be the Achilles heel of this team.

Totally agree on Fields.  He has a sky-high ceiling and nothing I saw today made me think he couldn't be coached out of little mistakes.

Defense came to play today, nice to see after the disappointing week 1.

There’s a fuck ton of people who say that, not just me. I’ll bet a lot of people in the locker room agree with that sentiment.

I think Nagy’s non-commitment to Dalton bodes well for Fields starting.
