I used to live in those Town Center Apartments when they were first built. They were brand new and really nice. Oh how times have changed.

Barracks of pre-fab, built on a concrete island, surrounded by car dealerships.
No, it was never nice.

Ok, boss. Definitely not as nice as that tv you picked up this past weekend, but 🤷🏻♂️ obviously you know that.

As TVs go, it's pretty nice.
I gave it to a fellow freecycler who enjoys fixing electronics. He thought it was pretty nice, too.
55" is too big for me. It hurts my neck.

Thanks for the updates guys. I haven't been to C-U since the mid 80's. One of these years.....

Back when those were built, all that stuff wasn’t out there yet. Right on the edge of town, close to the mall and a lot of north prospect that wasn’t even there yet. They were very nice when new. Yes prefab, but most apartment complexes are. It didn’t take long before that all changed though. Built in 1999 I believe.

Almost everything you just wrote is wrong.

No it’s not, but whatever. I was there, so don’t really know what the fuck you’re talking about.
You try way too hard to always appear smarter than others. You appear desperate and it’s funny.
Edit: not a single thing is wrong in my post. Fact check it.

It's pretty easy to track these things down.
The Meijer opened in 1995. The old Best Buy on Anthony Drive was already there at that point. I bought The Bends there for $9.99, happy to put my mom and pop stores out of business.
Some shops have come and gone. The Binny's was a Borders when you lived there. But it was still an island of concrete surrounded by commercial zones.

Of course there was stuff out there. I didn’t say anything wasn’t. I said a lot of stuff that’s there now wasn’t. There’s WAY more shit out there now. North Prospect has grown considerably since then.
So enlighten me about almost all of what I said was wrong??

Okay, sure.
Back when those were built, all that stuff wasn’t out there yet. FALSE

Yes prefab, but most apartment complexes are. ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION & BUILDING MATERIALS ARE NOT COMMODITIES.
It didn’t take long before that all changed though. NOT A REFUTABLE QUANTIFICATION.

True. It wasn’t. There’s tons of more stuff now than before.

True. There’s housing complexes that weren’t there and North Prospect has a lot more development since.
They were very nice when new. FALSE

No shit. Not sure what you’re getting at here. They’re all built pretty much the same way. Concrete and wood.
It didn’t take long before that all changed though. NOT A REFUTABLE QUANTIFICATION.
It became low-income, section 8 housing eventually and all downhill from there.
Not really sure what you’re trying to argue here. It’s like you can’t help yourself. Just because you don’t think they were nice doesn’t mean it’s true. I mean you dig in dumpsters, so....

Dumpster diving is, in fact, a great way to hone the art/science of differentiating crap from valuables.

You’re insufferable.
-
That can't be true. You keep responding.

Which one of you is Heat Miser? The other gets to be Snow Miser by default.
