I heard a rumor that there are plan for a data center on the Kankakee River at the unincorporated east side of Momence. That location would bypass local regulations and provide a  water supply for cooling..

Local and area residents are apparently already irate over prime farm land being used for solar farms.

They should bulldoze Momence and build the data center where it used to be but they’ll just take up good farmland on the Indiana side instead
