St. Louis and this bracket to start....I would take it in a heartbeat.

BYU is about to DROP big time....unfortunately they just lost Saunders for the year torn ACL for the senior. Really liked the way that kid played the game...hope he rebounds quickly and well, still has a future in the game imo.

He won't be rebounding any time soon.

Yep.  Was watching the Buffs when he went down early.  Don't know what hurts their ranking more, losing Saunders or Buffs taking them to OT.

I would take this latest version out of St Louis in a heartbeat!

I don't like playing UNC/Kansas winner in D.C.

I don't like playing UNC/Kansas winner in D.C.

This year I would take either....Peterson for Kansas is the only worry....although if Wilson gets all the way back, UNC is the stronger of the two imo.

Buffalo is the latest that I have seen...I don't see us getting St Louis now at all. We have not played great the last 4-6 games really overall, also the committee knows that the ILLINI fans travel really well, so no matter where they get sent, they can depend on the fans showing up.

If we make the 2nd weekend in San Jose, I'll go out for beers with anyone who makes it out.
I'm retired and on a fixed income so you gotta buy.

Not sure where to post, but found this interesting if not a little baffling to be honest. ILLINI made it on this list, but no longer am I as confident as I was earlier this year, in them making it far enough to justify this list.

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/48083760/mens-college-basketball-2026-national-title-8-contenders-357-losers

I am so glad we are on this list, there have been plenty of down years where we would have never sniffed being included here.

To much analytic talk for me.  Analytics don't win championships.

But analytics on non-title contenders seems to impress ThePAMan.

I’m a lot less hopeful than I was a couple weeks ago.

Wrong. It appears to impress The Underachiever Clan.

Definitely feeling the impact of bringing Bam and Stoj back from injury and trying to rework rotations and minutes. Be nice if Stoj wasn’t consistently disappearing against quality opponents and Bam’s shot wasn’t broken like his hand. You know Brad is going to play Bam as much as he can even though we fared well without him; so hopefully he can find his shot again to at least keep defenses honest.

i would be okay with this version.....not sure ILLINI will hold onto a 2 seed though, by selection Sunday.

You were the one crowing about Underwood Jr's analytics.

You were the one crowing about Underwood Jr's analytics.

Noting that he is the most infuential assistant coach on the staff is not crowing about him. The fact you think they are one and the same is problematic.
