How about we stop chucking threes even if we're up big? Take it to the hole and get fouled.

And I was wondering if we would get to 40 from 3.

Nice win. Attention quickly turns to Purdue. What a huge win that would (will) be.

I’m on Purdue campus (again) this week. Decked out in Illini gear for the game tonight. Everyone keeps asking me if I’m here for the game Saturday.

I keep telling everyone Kylan is out so we are fucked that way then they smash us they won’t be so excited.

Glad I was wrong on Stoyakovic and defense...man that kid stepped up tonight. Leader 3.0? Jake had an awesome game, good for him. Tomi was steady, Wagler was as well. Ben didn't show up like I thought, but his minutes were based on Andrej play as well as Jakes.

Big Z had some hot sauce for lunch or something, slingin elbows in all the wrong ways. He's got to clean that aggression up for sure against Purdue. The got some big boys also.

I didn’t want to comment on it earlier, but I think you’re wrong about Ben stepping up in Kylan’s place. Doesn’t even make sense. They don’t play the same position. They don’t share minutes. Ben’s minutes will probably go up a little bit because Bam is out, but I don’t think we’re all of a sudden going to see the lightbulb go off for him at this point. He is what he is. Basically, a three and D guy who didn’t even play very good D last year and doesn’t shoot a very high percentage  from three. His D has gotten better and he rebounds and doesn’t make a ton of mistakes. He’s not a leader like Bam.

AS is going to have to be the guy that steps up. Not playing hero ball but defending the other team’s best guard and being a leader. Getting downhill and making buckets and kicking it out to open shooters when they clog the lane against him. And they will.

Good looking guy. I’m straight, but I’d still fuck him.

Easy to come in with Andrej after the fact, my point was for Ben H as an upperclassman and one who has bought into defense and rebounding should be able to step up in Boz absence. He did not, and I correctly admitted my wrong assessment.

BEFORE the game I would almost bet some dollars, that NO ONE on here would have chosen AS to be the one to buy into defense and shut down their primary threat....that said I am again glad I was wrong and quite happy with AS being the next one up so to speak. I will however be shocked if it happens again against Smith on Sat., different breed from Coit there.

You and only you expected Ben H to be the illini savior after the KB injury.

Never said he would be a savior, did say i thought he would be the one to step up, I was incorrect, but I am not incorrect in saying no one else would have been chosing AS defensively either...no one did. I am glad to be wrong, and glad we got that win....we will need it.
