Don't you put that kind of evil in the universe...

I member Kofi and Alfonso Plummer rescuing us that game.

Plummer is such an underrated player for us. Him and Andre Feliz deserve way more credit than they get…

Bruce on the color commentary because Big Ten Network hates our guts.

And had the replay of Wisconsin game on right before… 🤮 I again got extremely pissed from tuning in a little early…

Sleepy start but appears we are starting to stir a bit
-
Petrovic is literally yelling at the bench after the 3, then he and Tyler are talking during free throws, so much that BU waves him away from the bench.
Then Andrej dunks it off of a pass from him and he starts getting into it, it seems with Coach Alexander????
Something going on here?

Uconn really see that we have 2 B1G games coming up....looking ahead to that and Tennessee?
-
Survived another sleepy trap. Credit to the Vaqueros for not backing down.
Defense just simply not good enough right now.
-
Brad underwhelmed by the effort after the game. <30% from 3 and too many turnovers against a lousy team.
We have some very solid pieces but the mental/leadership stuff hasn't quite gelled.
-
Bad overall play, Boswell seemed in/out of the game, Andrej was aggressive once again, that was good to see.
The Ivisic Bro's simply gotta provide more for us to be uber good imo. Big Z needs to be more of a slash/pick and roll guy than shooting 3's all game. Tomi has earned some leeway, plus (injury) doesn't help either...that said, both need to be better.
Mirkovic seems to be coming back to Earth, Petrovic seems to be buying some time, Humrichous just does his job at this point, that is not a bad thing.
Wagler and Stoyakovic are our 2 best players and both should be back next year (transfers-not being considered).
This team has all the makings of a Top 10 team, and all the trappings to be a lower Top 25 team and getting bounced in 1-2 games come March.
Starting 5 against UCONN, I would make it Boswell/Stoyakovic/Wagler/Humrichous/Tomi, Bench in order coming off: Big Z (4-5), Petrovic (1-2), Mirkovic (3-4), Davis (2-3), Lee (maybe doesn't get in?)
We really are just a 8 deep team, not overly deep imo, which has been harped on.

I think we are actually really deep when healthy, but we are also really tall, white, and slow, which has been my concern all along when watching this roster come together. One of the bigs needs to actually have a post game imo, to help space the floor and keep defenses honest.
Mirk needs to learn to make his move quickly or he is going to get doubled/stripped every time against legit teams. These euro guys just have no concept of how physical and quick defenders are in CBB.
Obviously this group is still learning how to play together between injuries and late arrivals and everything else. Last time we played UTRGV they almost beat us, and we went on to win the conference. Like that we at least threw some zone out there tonight for a change of pace. That might not be a bad strategy with this roster construction. We have a bunch of guys who struggle on the ball in man.
This team is kind of unprecedented in college hoops. We’ve shown we can be competitive with good teams, but the gauntlet ahead will tell the story. I think the ceiling is really really high once we get rotations and chemistry figured out. Staying healthy would be nice.

Does Lee get any slack for his ankle injury?

I don’t expect him to play a lot even when he is fully healthy but hopefully he can give us some good minutes when needed.

Nope, if it is not 100% should be a coaches decision to not play.
