*Hopefully Williams' trajectory is back on the upswing.
*How many defensive plays will Tempo's Guy Sweat take off this game?
*How many bad calls will Tempo's Guy Until Fields Was Being Traded Eberlose have to defend after this game?
-
Nice strip and recovery by Mr. Biles
-
Can’t get the game here unless I get Sunday ticket. Darn maybe I’ll do something productive instead.

A good team needs at least 2 weeks to figure out how to not have a field goal blocked

Eberflus elite defense allowing a back up QB to convert a 3rd and 13.
-
defense looking like swiss cheese today

-
Haha wtf. Game switched on after the other one ended, this is nuts.
-
Win or lose, there is a lot to be encouraged about with Caleb's development last week and this week.
-
And just as I say that, he takes an awful sack.
-
Haha wtf. Game switched on after the other one ended, this is nuts.

Never said that. Stop exaggerating and/or flat out lying.

The crazy part is Justin Jefferson was completely shut down.

I mean, yay? The Tight end and that other receiver were WIDE fricking open all day long
-
Well when you hold the best WR in football to 7 yards you’d think your pass defense had a good day. Not the case.
-
Cluster-Flus not bad. Not as good as when I coined Shoop Happens, but not bad.

Judge Judy can confirm your MF'ing of Williams

Tempo still says Williams is the problem and the defense is fine.
The liberties you take with what I say are basically outright lies. I’ve never said Caleb is “the problem.” Do I sometimes say “nice pass” when he misses an open receiver by 7 yards? Yes. But I’ve said many times he’s not getting enough quality help. Just like Justin didn’t. Change the name, change the jersey number and it looks about the same. Still too many people failing across the board.
I said the defense didn’t cost the Bears the game last week. I didn’t say the defense “was fine.” It’s clearly trending in the wrong direction, but they’re also missing a couple key starters, and gotten regression from guys like Stevenson, Sweat, Taylor and until today, Dexter.
Far and away the biggest problem with this team is coaching. And before you say I was a big Flus guy, I advocated for firing the guy if they were drafting a quarterback. No, I wasn’t pounding the drum to fire him because I was 95% sure they wouldn’t. He was definitely passing the McCaskey test. The last 5 weeks have made it painfully obvious he’s in over his head.
The Bears will be a very coveted position for HCing candidates this winter. The roster isn’t perfect, but has a lot going for it. Another FA class, a solid draft, and better coaching could make a huge difference next year. This isn’t the 2022 Bears. I’m still mostly encouraged about the future. If they can just for fucking once not screw up the coaching hire.
-
Also, the effort looks inconsistent, which is mostly on coaching IMO.
-
Judge Judy can confirm your MF'ing of Williams
Again, MFing him on occasion isn’t the same as saying “He’s THE PROBLEM.” That should be level 101 shit for a lawyer.
-
I’ve said probably 30x here the Bears as a whole are failing Caleb. But like Justin, he needs to make more plays when they are there.
-
And the defense clearly wasn’t good enough today. But the bones of a good roster (especially defensively) are there. And you’ve got Caleb. This will be a very attractive job in January.
-

he only had one super bad throw today from what I remember, which is an improvement

I admittedly missed most of the game. From what I gather it definitely wasn’t Caleb’s fault we lost. More drops and fumbles. And poor defense when it mattered. I blame Fields.
-

LOL. No it doesn't. They have controlled the clock the past 2 games..You are delusional if you think Fields would have looked the same the past 2 games. LOL. Pass over whatever it is you are smoking!

You said "Offense lighting it up again I see." "Defense wasn't bad against GB. Not great, but not bad." (When I said this was looking just like the GB game.) "Caleb pretty fired up for being in a game he's about to lose" (Right after the late TD)
-

It’s not about Fields. But we see a lot of the same issues. Coaching sucks. Too many drops. Too many penalties. Sacks taken in critical situations. Same shit, different day.
-

The offense scored 37% of their points in the last 1:22. Up until that point they weren’t lighting it up. The defense was not good enough today. I never said otherwise.
-
Yes. Seeing as how getting an onside kick recovery in the modern NFL is about 1-2% I had chalked the game up as a loss. And guess what, I was right afterall.
-
The defense gave up 24% less yardage and about 18-20% less first downs last week than this week, so yeah, last week was a better defensive effort. “Shut down?” No. But if you give up only 20 you should have a good chance to win. Especially at home. All they had to do was make a FG that gets made probably at 85% these days, and they'd have gotten the win.
-
And the offense really lit it up in OT, didn’t they? And no, it’s not all on Caleb. The Bears failed Caleb Williams. Surprise, surprise. Somehow they hired a guy worse than Getsy, and they’re still trying to dig themselves out of it.
-

They currently have one less issue though: a guy at QB with a limited ceiling due to his limited football IQ.

The offense is controlling the clock the past 2 games. The sieve D has been the beneficiary of said ball control.
-
So they got that going for them.

Lol

Scoring points matters, too. 19 isn’t quite sufficient.

I'm not going to disagree. The defense sucks ass now so they have to design a game plan to outscore people.
They have played ball control the last 2 games and still lost because of special teams. Time to change the paradigm.
The fact is this defense now blows Sweat is a bust, and Eberlose refuses to blitz.
-
So they got they going for them.
It is one of two positives for this season. The second is Eberlose has to get booted. A third would be Poles getting tossed, but I know that is not happening.
