No one really knows for sure. WaPo did a piece on it that was widely cited, but Musk denied it and that’s as far as it went. Musk’s brother apparently has said they were in the states illegally. I imagine this will be something the left gets really really hung up on and it’ll get sorted out. Not that it’s really worth all the fury.

He for sure came here legally. He studied at Penn and earned a degree there. He was then going to go to Stanford to continue studying but apparently started working instead once he received venture capital they’d been looking for. At some point after this unexpected change in plans he got his H1B and then ultimately followed the path to citizenship. At worst you are looking at someone who had circumstances change dramatically and had to adjust.

I think Musk is using his access to Trump, at least initially, to rebuild advertising revenue on Twitter. He's trying to show the business community and other interests that the best way to curry favour with the incoming administration is through him.
Musk has to be careful. We're dealing with two massive egos. Trump will not tolerate anyone getting more attention or upstaging him. A quick call to the Kremlin and Musk will trouble him no more.

What I said was if you were looking to find reasons to keep him, you could come up with some. The Bears clearly were and did. I was willing to see it out since clearly the Bears were going to. I'd have definitely been in favor of a coaching change once they decided they were drafting a QB.

Thanx for the reminder. Went fishing with a friend on Shabbona somewhere around 50 years ago. It was early season and the water was cold. The boat seemed as tho it started moving slowly. 🤷
We never did get that good size muskie in the boat with our cheap ass net that separated into 2 pieces, net and handle.
