This is some funny shit. If I could pick out one thing to literally rebuttal; it's the notion that "our" ancestors came here to learn English and assimilate.

That is bullshit. Europeans who came to America settled into ethnic communities where they spoke their own language and practiced their own culture. Gradually, over many decades, their offspring began to intermarry and created the multicultural melting pot that is America.
