I never said Bagent would be a starter, I never said Fields might be a better choice to retain than Bagent as the back-up. I never said that Bagent would be a better back-up than Fields.
It's entirely possible that Fields could go, the Bears draft a qb and deal Fields.

I’ve never pretended to KNOW what they will do. I suspect there is a very good chance they will move on from him. I wouldn’t be shocked by a number of outcomes.

I have never ever said the Bears aren’t moving on from Fields. I’m saying I wouldn’t. Not yet. I’d bring him back for another year. And if you want to draft his potential replacement, I wouldn’t have a major problem with that. Might be the prudent thing to do.

Keep Fields, draft a guy #1 or 2 and if Fields isn’t playing like you want him to trade him for whatever you can get at next years’ deadline. I have no problem with that approach.

You're probably correct. If a GM was considering Fields, Bagent or Getsy as the starting qb the GM probably would go with Fields.
I never imagined that your original post included Getsy as a starting qb choice.
