And you know that the motivation driving Roberts is his pernicious racism.

The article by Daley and Graves appears to have accomplished it's objective.

Yep. Clear. It's the race card.

The authors don't actually say that Roberts is a racist, they write to allow the reader to conclude that maybe Roberts is a racist.

If Roberts is a racist then the Court can then be viewed as an illegitimate Court and Daley's advocacy that the Democrats should pack the Court when the opportunity arises is strengthened.

Lisa Graves, the co-author ? From the Wiki: Lisa Graves is a progressive activist.
Occupations Nonprofit executive, political activist"

Here's another one for you written on the following day. Ari Berman chimes in ......

That's a nice article and video from Mother Jones. However, unlike the Slate article, it doesn't go into Justice Roberts' motivation.

It's not an overt racism, more of a pernicious racism.

👀

Pernicious racism is a deeply entrenched, systemic, and often subtle form of discrimination that permeates societal structures, inflicting profound harm on marginalized groups. Unlike overt bigotry, this pervasive form of racism is embedded in institutions—such as criminal justice, education, and health care—and continues to produce significant racial disparities in wealth, life expectancy, and social status, often justified through structural inequality

Key Aspects of Pernicious Racism

*Systemic and Structural:
It is not merely individual prejudice but is built into institutional codes, such as AI facial recognition software and healthcare disparities.

*Long-lasting Impact: It manifests through historical legacies of colonialism, slavery, and segregation, impacting wealth and health disparities.

*Mental and Physical Health Damage: Studies from the American Psychological Association indicate that racist incidents can cause trauma, anxiety, and depression similar to PTSD.

*Interpersonal and Subtle: It includes everyday microaggressions and "cultural justifications" that normalize, racial hierarchy and white superiority.

Global Phenomenon: The United Nations describes it as a pervasive "evil" existing in all regions.

The pernicious racist is unaware he or she is racist. Pernicious racists don't even recognize that systemic racism exists. They believe we have a color blind society since overt forms of racism are largely history. They say things like:

My ancestors didn't own slaves, didn't benefit from slavery.

I let my children play with black children.

I have lots of black friends.

I don't see color, I only see people.

So and so is very articulate for a black person, doesn't talk like black, is pretty for a black girl.

All lives matter

Have to consider betting the under next game. Both teams are going to be tightening things up after that one.

Not with the Wild with a defense equivalent to Mn’s grasp of facts - empty net

Bibi on 60 minutes last night trying his best BS to convince USA that everything is according to plan and social media is to blame for all the bad PR he's been getting.  I read it as a desperate effort to  pressure Trump not to TACO this week.

Social media is largely to blame. But that’s because they’re doing terrible shit on video, and then bragging about it.

Yep. Clear. It's the race card.

It's quite a bit more nuanced than that. I do understand that not everyone gets nuance. But the civil rights acts was largely about race.

Bobby Cox. Probably getting ejected in the afterlife as we speak.

This Bobby Cox/Tiger Woods story is incredible.
