Title: Exceedingly spicy NFL hot take

Belichick puts the Patriots back in the Super Bowl this year.

5 wins in a row

They should make the playoffs, but there ain’t no way in hell they’re making or winning the Super Bowl. I appreciate your boldness though. No matter how huffed up on glue you are.

Mac Jones and Ja’marr Chase are fighting for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Being a QB will probably get Jones the award.

Probably not, but they’ve gone through a hell of a transformation the past month. They are not a team anyone in the AFC will want to see in the playoffs.

here's my spicy take

Bears won't even make the playoffs once in the next 5 years

Division will be weak once Rodgers leaves. Bears should be in position to win multiple division titles the next few years if Fields is good, and I think he will be.

And in a blink, New England is back in 1st place and the #3 seed in the AFC.

I put $50 last week on the Niners to win the NFC, and they come out and lay an egg against Seattle. I expected them to win this game fairly easily.

How about them Lions? Boy are they going places now!
Vikings had a lot of players out, but ......
4 minutes left. Lions up 2 at their own 30. 4th and 1.
Time to punt and pray for the defense to get a win.
Lions say 'not so fast' and Goff goes play action and drops back to pass. Not only does he drop back 10 yards, but he also drops the ball.
Vikings score, up by 4. Go for 2 because they went for 2 earlier and missed. They miss this time too.
1:50 left and the Lions get the ball and go 75 yards to score at the buzzer.
Some fine football. Lol.

Ravens go for 2 and the win. Lamar throws a shitty pass to a wide open Andrews who got a hand on it but couldn't bring it in. Would have been one of the easiest 2 pt conversions you'll ever see.

Steelers win.

All of a sudden the Patriots are the 1 seed in the AFC.

Ballsy decision by Harbaugh to go for 2. I love Lamar, but he is so erratic as a passer.

Patriots win a game in which their QB only completed 2/3 pass attempts for 19 yards.

Classic cold weather football tonight.

Bonus hot take:

Not as spicy as it would have been a couple weeks ago, but after looking like a SB team the first 5-6 weeks, Buffalo misses the playoffs. Browns sneak in.

"Just hours after Lawrence made that comment in his weekly news conference, a report surfaced from the Tampa Bay Times in which former Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo alleged that coach Urban Meyer kicked him in the leg while he was stretching in warm-ups before a practice during the week of the final preseason game."

This year more than ever confirms the NFL is a week to week league. You can point to about every team in the top half of the league and say they looked a strong contender at some point, and a pretender at another.

I like them, but I’m hoping Cleveland gets in. They’re a dangerous team if healthy.

And while I love Lamar, Kyler, I’m becoming more and more convinced you have to pass from the pocket to win a SB. They are good passers, but I’m not sure they have the consistency from the pocket to win a SB with a less than overwhelming supporting cast.

They were for sure headed in the wrong direction. A 9-6 loss to Jacksonville is inexcusable. They’ve rebounded nicely, and in a way I wasn’t sure they were capable of. Again, more than ever, it’s a week to week league.

Probably my last spicy take before the playoffs. I like SF and Indy to make some noise going forward. NE perhaps peaked too early, and not sure Mac Jones is ready to be more than a caretaker. If they get behind, they are in trouble.

Basically the NFL has finally turned I to what the power brokers wanted. A league where there’s no real dominant teams, and everyone has a realistic shot week to week. There’s literally 8 or 9 teams with a realistic shot at winning the Super Bowl.

Hot take: Niners beat the Cowboys. If I miss on that one I might be done with NFL hot takes for the year.

Here man, I’ll put myself out there in good faith and give you a hot take.

Green Bay and Buffalo in the Super Bowl. Aaron Rodgers gets himself another Super Bowl and you’re gonna weep because he’s not vaxxed and shouldn’t be allowed to win. I’ll weep because I can’t stand the Packers and Rodgers is a douchebag. There, I teed it up for ya.

How about Cincinnati over Tennessee?

Fuck it, I’ll take Cincinnati to win that game.

I’m rooting like hell for Burrow and Allen.

Has there ever been a 1 seed more disrespected than the Tennessee Titans? No one is talking about them. If Vrabel doesn’t win COY there should be a congressional investigation.

Eh, the Cowboys have been hot garbage in the playoffs since what, the mid 90's?

I think this Cowboys team is schizophrenic. They absolutely have the talent to win the Super Bowl, but they are pretty erratic. I’m going with the coaching advantage of the Niners, and hoping they can catch Dallas on one of their bad days.

Schizophrenic is a good description.  For a team that supposedly is setting records with offense this year, they have trouble getting the ball in the end zone.  And Dak is unpredictable.   They abandon the run quickly.

For the sake of full disclosure (and subsequent ridicule), that's my team.  I've watched them all year.  Their D carried them the at the end of the season.  I don't know much about the Niners this year.  Think they've had trouble keeping RBs healthy.  Garoppolo is an ok QB.

I'm thinking the Boys break out of their post season funk, and win big.

Tn escapes.
Cincy up 6-0 after 2 field goals.
Tn scores and goes for 2. Ooops.  Tie score 6-6. Lol.
Kick the pat and the score with seconds left could have been Tn up 17-16.
Cincy fg at the end lets Tn off the hook. Cincy misses and it's overtime.
Cincy misses and Tn could have been up 17-16.
Don't chase points.

Ryan Tannehill is a goat, not the Tom Brady type of goat though.
