Katina's revenge:
Tulane denied Hurricane Katrina uniform homage
Tulane sported helmets without decals in its season opener yesterday to honor the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. The team wanted to wear white uniforms like they had in their first game after the hurricane in 2005, but they were reportedly denied by their opponent, Northwestern. The Green Wave proceeded to stomp the Wildcats in a 23-3 win, and head coach Jon Sumrall had much to say after the fact. “Don’t disrespect New Orleans ever,” Sumrall said.
